Collection of critical essays, and two letters, on the subject of James Joyce’s book FINNEGANS WAKE, then being published in discrete sections under the title of Work in Progress. Part of the incentive to publish was apparently to raise funds for the perennially impecunious Joyce. Beckett’s first appearance in print.
