Kaiko Moti’s master etchings in sumptuously illustrated catalogue raisonne.
Throughout Kaiko Moti’s work there is the subtle play of light; the sunset on a bay, the delicate tree-filtered light in a forest, or the shading of baby birds on a branch. In his etchings, he expresses both serene stillness and the tension of motion. His landscapes and seascapes are known for their contemplative atmosphere, yet he can capture the struggle of a tethered horse against its bonds, or the frightened flight of horses just before a monsoon storm. His cats, on the other hand, are majestic in their serenity. pp. 200
