What we’re talking about, of course, are soap operas—those daytime dramas that never fail to amaze or amuse…and, often of late, arouse. As an Wide entitled “Love Between the Sheets: Are the Soaps Getting Too Sexy?” reasons: “The fact is, there is a new freedom on TV. Since society in general has become more liberal in its attitudes, most soaps have too. There are still some taboo areas, of course. Men may be shown Wyss, for instance, but not women as yet.” Until now…
In this, the second Sleuth special devoted to serial thrillers, we’ve even topped ourselves! When we last tuned in {Volume 1, Number 4}, ‘Soap Opera Buffs’ was promising that “you’ll see more stars of the suds without their duds than ever before. Forty-five actresses are the rewards of the Sleuth’s latest nudevestigation.” We’ve now added a foursome to that awesome total…this latest pioneering effort pans out to be a 49er.
