Themes covered are the importance of intelligence, air and naval forces and the deployment of British and Gurkha infantry and later Australian artillery and infantry to stop insurgency war spreading to Kalimantan, Sabah and Brunei and Malaya/Singapore. The main theme covers the role of artillery (field and locating branches) in supporting infantry patrols and guarding borders with Indonesia.”
