BOATS West Australiana
The publication has been compiled from field investigations initially commenced by Jeremy Green, then Graeme Henderson. The historical background to the wreck was derived from original documents, contemporary newspaper accounts and secondary sources, researched by Graeme Henderson. The resources were made available to other principal contributors and have been utilized with additional research and scientific analyses for the purpose of interpreting various aspects of the site, the ship and its cargo, not previously dealt with. An attempt has been made to integrate the archaeological and historical data in a thematic way which considers the role of the ship and its cargo in broad perspective – the economic, social and cultural context of Colonial Western Australia. 297 x 208mm., pp. xv (preliminaries), 233, black & white plates, illustrations, Appendices, references. A4 paperback, pictorial card covers.
