Signed by Author First Edition 144 p. : ill., ports. ; 22 cm. #0720/220424
St Werburgh’s Chapel is reputed to be the only surviving church in Western Australia originally built on private property by the landowner (WA Heritage Council). The landowner was George Edward Egerton-Warburton (1819-1889) and was a prominent settler in the Mt Barker district. The chapel was consecrated on 21 June 1874 by Bishop Hale of Perth. Dawn Crabb provides a detailed history of George Edward Egerton-Warburton and the Egerton-Warburton family.
