WEST AUSTRALIANA
An historical account of a leading golf club in Perth, Western Australia, which was formed in 1928. It is the club’s second club history, following up Michael White’s earlier 60-year history, produced in 1988. Possessing 18 chapters, the publication traces all the major events to have transpired at the club, including tournament reports. It features extensive writings, plus archival and contemporary photography. One of the chapters explores the club’s role during World War Two, whereby the air force took over the facility for the training of recruits. Other highlights include magnificent golf course imagery, information pertaining to flora and fauna, club culture and traditions, and tracing the pioneering work of the early foundation members.
