His trial in Brecon is followed by an incarceration in Pentonville Gaol, then a period in Dartmoor prison, to his subsequent survival aboard two Thames hulks, Justitia and Defence, before his harrowing voyage to the Swan River aboard the Pyrenees, arriving 30 April 1853.
