Rex Tremlett (1903–1986) was a gold prospector in South Africa having studied at Berkhamsted School, Hertfordshire, Camborne School of Mines in Cornwall and Michaelhouse in South Africa. He was first person to reopen a tin mine in Cornwall in 1948 at a farm called Bosinver farm.[1] He was the writer of many books and articles including Road to Ophir, Easy Going and Gold in the Morning Sun. Having been a journalist in his early years in South Africa and then in London before and during the Second World War he continued this profession throughout his life.
