In 1918, the troopship Boonah arrived back in Fremantle with soldiers infected with the Spanish Flu, then rampant in South Africa where the ship had docked. A number of soldiers and the nurses taking care of them died at the Woodman Point quarantine centre. Sir Hal Colebatch, as State Minister for Health features prominently in the account.
