Each species is presented with its Latin name, common name and family, together with its distribution, key diagnostic features, natural history, pollination, uses in restoration and propagation. This book also contains introductory chapters on the biology and ecology of the coastal plants, their biogeography, and practical approaches to the restoration of coastal dune vegetation. Kingsley Dixon is Director of Science at Kings Park and Botanic Garden in Perth, Western Australia. He is a specialist in the ecology, restoration and conservation biology of Australian native plants and ecosystems. He has led a multi-disciplinary scientific group for more than 20 years specialising in seed ecology and biology, propagation science, germplasm conservation, conservation genetics and restoration ecology. He is also the inaugural Permanent Visiting Professor in the School of Plant Biology at The University of Western Australia.
