History of the Kimberley region in Western Australia. Told in narrative style by the author who, with his family, spent many years there on Louisa Downs station. The earliest settlement of the station is described along with the difficulties of the Aboriginal and European relationships. In particular the history of the Cox era is charted – Billy Cox, a white man, was instrumental in creating a new tribe.
