Gunners’ Doctor, The : Vietnam Letters

The letters of David Bradford document his experiences as an army doctor in Vietnam from May 1967 to May 1968. These letters, along with Bradford’s reflections forty years later, offer a valuable first-hand account of Australian military service in the Vietnam War. As well, his letters offer insights into a man facing doubts about his religious beliefs and his sexuality, doubts faced while living and working in the uncertainty of a war zone.
